C.I.T.Y. SUMMER CAMP!

I love supporting avenues to impact the lives of others and platforms which also give people the opportunity to make an impact!

So, here's introducing one of such opportunities... C.I.T.Y!!!

C.I.T.Y SUMMER CAMP
C.I.T.Y is an acronym for Catch and Inspire Them Young; it is a leadership program for teenagers powered by the Eagles HOPE Foundation (H.O.P.E).

Over the last 4 years through the C.I.T.Y program, H.O.P.E has engaged over 1,300 volunteers and a good number of corporate partners to reach over 7,500 Leaders (teenagers) across Nigeria at no cost to the teenagers. In 2015, the C.I.T.Y Summer Leadership School hosted over 450 teenagers in four locations across Nigeria; Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan, and Ota (Ogun State), engaging over 250 volunteers. The camps were running simultaneously in all four locations and were non-residential.


This year's C.I.T.Y Summer Leadership School: Leaders Arise 2.0, would be running in four (4) locations across Nigeria with a bit of difference; while being residential in Lagos-Ota and Port Harcourt locations, it would be non-residential in Ibadan and Abuja, with a total of 1000 Leaders in all locations and 250 Volunteers. 

From August 10th-August 20th, the camp is open to leaders between the ages of 13- 18 at no cost to the teenagers.

What's more?

HOPE foundation is introducing something new and exciting this year with "corporate volunteering’’, inviting staff members of companies that choose to partner with HOPE, to actively participate in camp; teach a few classes and educate the ‘’leaders’’ on career paths.

Have you ever wondered how the negative occurrences that took place in your childhood didn't take you out? Some of us did really terrible things when we were young... I'm trying hard not to shake this table but I actually heard of someone who, while playing, locked himself up in the freezer when he was young! How did he survive it?! God alone knows!  Well, as I was saying before the diversion, some of us did terrible things when we were young but for some others, terrible things happened to us. Some were abused physically, sexually, mentally etc. in their childhood, some had a child/children out of wedlock, some were terribly ill, some experienced difficulties in learning, some had their parents abandon them, and some people (like me😂) were rescued from 'falling' into a relationship that would have landed them where they shouldn't be. Free Expert Editing for Authors and Startup Organisations

Hello! Welcome again to the blog!  I believe that your month went beautifully well -- goals were smashed, challenges were overcome, and you impacted at least one life positively. No worries if you still have some goals to smash. March isn't over yet😉  I come with exciting news! Tia Edits is currently running a free editing program for authors (or soon-to-be authors😎) and startup organisations . Yes, it's absolutely free. The need for this came while I was thinking about how to contribute to startup organisations by helping them push out error-free content. I also decided to add authors to the program because, as an author myself, I know how important the editing stage is to the success of any book.
