Prayers That Avail Much

Hello there! Welcome and happy new month!

Every once in a while, we will take a look at some amazing prayers from scriptures. We will look at one of such today and then, we will take some time to pray... Yes, pray☺ I can imagine that someone just went "oh, no!"😁

The truth is many of us would prefer a million times to rather study than pray (I see you😉). But as much as I'd encourage you to study the word as it helps you pray the right prayers and pray with understanding, I encourage you also to pray. Pray, pray and keep praying. Never stop!

There was a time in my life when I really didn't feel like praying. I would study but prayer wasn't just it because my heart was too burdened. At that point, I remembered something someone once said: You may not always feel like praying but the key to praying when you don't feel like it is to pray. The truth is there's no shortcut to prayer. The only way to continue praying whatever the situation, is to pray. If you're burdened, prayer is one way to lighten the load as you turn it over to Jesus. I discovered once I was able to start, the rest was settled. I would go on and on and afterwards, I'm refreshed!

Asides being burdened with the cares of the world, prayer keeps you in constant communication with God. I have discovered that prayer can indeed be a 24 hour thing. How? Talk to God about everything. "Gist" with God like you would your friend. Pray about everything before you complain about them. Give thanks numerous times in your day. Make it a habit. Consciously doing these is communicating with God already and then, when you set apart some time just to pray, it simply flows because you have been in an atmosphere of prayer and the consciousness of God's presence all day.

Enough said. It's time to pray. The scripture for today is Ephesians 3:16 - 20. Read it, study it, and meditate on it. Then put your name wherever it says 'you' and pray it over yourself. You can also extend it to your family, spouse and even children yet unborn😉

"And I pray that he would unveil within you the unlimited riches of his glory and favor until supernatural strength floods your innermost being with his divine might and explosive power. Then, by constantly using your faith, the life of Christ will be released deep inside you, and the resting place of his love will become the very source and root of your life. Then you will be empowered to discover what every holy one experiences—the great magnitude of the astonishing love of Christ in all its dimensions. How deeply intimate and far-reaching is his love! How enduring and inclusive it is! Endless love beyond measurement that transcends our understanding—this extravagant love pours into you until you are filled to overflowing with the fullness of God! Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you."
Ephesians 3:16‭-‬20 (TPT)

"I’m asking God to give you a gift from the wealth of his glory. I pray that he would give you inner strength and power through his Spirit. Then Christ will live in you through faith. I also pray that love may be the ground into which you sink your roots and on which you have your foundation. This way, with all of God’s people you will be able to understand how wide, long, high, and deep his love is. You will know Christ’s love, which goes far beyond any knowledge. I am praying this so that you may be completely filled with God. Glory belongs to God, whose power is at work in us. By this power he can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine."
Ephesians 3:16‭-‬20 (GW)

Let the prayers begin!

Shalom!
Precious
